SGEM, a blockchain gaming platform operated by Zing Corporation, has launched a major system update for its Play to Earn NFT game, “SGEM City.” This update is touted as a first in NFT game history, combining gameplay and earning potential in an innovative system.
- About SGEM: SGEM provides a unique asset model and ecosystem where everything invested in the game becomes an asset. It offers a unified experience across various games and bridges virtual and real worlds. The assets acquired hold value in both realms, allowing players to build wealth while playing.
- SGEM City Explained: As the first offering in SGEMVERSE, SGEM City is an NFT game that blends nurturing, card games, and strategy. It’s designed to be easily accessible for beginners to earn. The game has introduced a foster parent lending system (Scholarship Model) which allows players to earn without any initial investment.
- Gameplay and Tokenomics: SGEM City incorporates strategic gameplay where players can increase their earnings through real battles in the metaverse. The game features a leveling-up system for characters called Babo, with different initial levels and vitality values. Players can recover vitality by consuming wAA tokens. The update also introduces a new “Trial Ground” mode, offering rewards for the first ten battles each day and a unique “Guardian Babo” system that doesn’t occupy space in the defense formation.
The tokens used in SGEM City are ERC-20 standard, making them tradable on Uniswap. These updates signify a significant step in merging gaming entertainment with financial earning opportunities, setting a new precedent in the P2E NFT gaming landscape.
